Fear doesn’t have to lead your decisions. Employing practical critical thinking and professional curiosity can lead to solutions that were there all along and only visible today under today’s circumstances. For today’s dental practice, that’s what ozone is.
In the Post Covid 19 dental practice a focus on the bioburden on the aerosols has taken the conversations down dark roads. Dental practices are closing, people are being let go, lives are being readjusted and patients have reservations about even entering into a dental practice. Ozone in the dental practice can be a savior on nearly every concerning level. From disinfecting the air in the office, to room wipe down, and even safe oral disinfection before treatment begins, ozone is versatile and inexpensive.
Compare ozone to other topical disinfectants
Describe the different ways to use ozone

Speakers: Shirley Gutkowski and Dr. Zaremski
After graduating from Marquette University in 1999 through the degree completion program, Shirley Gutkowski became very active in the Amyrdh.com e-mail community monitored by Amy Shack Petrillo, RDH, and honed her communication skills to bring new and exciting information to the hundreds of hygienists in that group. This evolved into feature articles and a monthly column in RDH magazine. In an effort to reach the public with her messages and cross over into writing for consumer publications, she wrote a series of articles on oral care for Diabetes Self-Management.
Dr. Zaremski grew up in Palos Verdes, California. He wanted to be a dentist from the early age of twelve because his father’s dentist had “intriguing tools”. The son of an engineer, Dr. Zaremski soon set his goals to pursue a career in dentistry. The profession offered him the ability to restore smiles, and provide the best oral care treatments to improve people’s health and life styles.
